So...um....well....

It's been a while, hasn't it?  Well, school and other things have come in the way of 2Thine again....sadly.  I have a bit of time to catch all of you, my lovely friends, up with what's been going on with me.
1.  School has been crazy.  We're kinda cramming in a way, because May is coming and we have a LOT going on in May. :P
2.  I JUST auditioned in my orchestra.  I feel pretty confident, but also kinda nervous as to if I'll get chosen to move up or not.  I'm hoping that the odds will be in my favor.  (this leads me into the next point...)
3.  I am officially a fan of The Hunger Games.  I'll discuss this more after my list.  I like lists.
4.  Pinterest occupies a lot of my time.  My username on there is @FallonSkywalker (same as Twitter) if you care to follow me.  I am enjoying it immensely.
5.  The Avengers is in TEN DAYS PEOPLE.  TEN.

Okay, now I shall write my thoughts on The Hunger Games, from MY WORLDVIEW.  So haters and other people who do not like my worldview, chill.  My thoughts, my words, my opinion.  Just getting that out there. XD

First off, to quiet those who might call me a "follower" or a "sheep" or whatever, due to the popularity of the book series, which partly is due to the fact that the movie had just recently come out (I really want to see it now XD), I have been meaning to read these books for some time.  My lovely cousin Embie read them about two years ago, and recommended them to me back then, with the warning that they were somewhat disturbing and very violent.  At that time, my exposure to sci-fi and more horror-ish things in general was very non-existent, and I had no desire to read something scary.  And thinking about it, I probably wouldn't be able to tolerate it.  But after Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and several super-hero movies, I am quite immune to violence and such things, and also very good at getting attached to characters whose fates are doomed. XD
Thus, with the popularity of these books that I hadn't even thought about for two years, I was very intrigued to know WHY the rest of the world liked them so much.  I wanted to know what the deal was about "Team Peeta" and "Team Gale" and why "I VOLUNTEER" is such a popular meme.
I have had multiple people recommend the books to me, friends from the internet, "real life", and random acquaintances.  Finally I took the plunge about a week ago, breaking open The Hunger Games on Wednesday night of last week.

Two words.  Four Thirty.
That is how late I stayed up reading that gosh-darn book.  I read the first page with curiosity and speculation, and after that, I could NOT put it down.  There were ZERO stopping points in the whole thing. I read and read until I couldn't keep my eyes open.  I was 3/4 of the way finished with the book when 4:30am rolled around.  I had to wake up at 7am, do Presidential fitness at P.E. the next day, and then teach dance and do dance for 5 hours that afternoon.  To say the least, I got home and literally crashed and burned. XD

I was able to pick it up again on Saturday and I finished the book in one sitting.  I sobbed through the entire ending, because I was devastated that it wasn't even a spark of happiness.  I was miserable all night (and then had to deal with drama on The Lakehouse) so my emotions were in torment all night long. XD  It didn't help that on the same night I chose to watch trailers for the movie (I sobbed like an idiot) and then reblog every THG item in sight on Tumblr.  And look at merchandise, and listen to the soundtrack for the movie (BEYOND BEAUTIFUL.  EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A FAN, GO LISTEN NOW).

To end that pathetic story, here are my overall thoughts of the book.

Overall Rating:  9.5/10 stars.  I take off a half-point for it being too gory in one scene for me to read (I skimmed part of the Tracker Jacker scene XD)

Rating from a Christian perspective:  7ish/10 stars.  Depending on how Christian you are judging this by, the book was gory, violent, and scary, and the worldviews in the book were not exactly ideal for all.  I personally was not too bothered by it, because it is in fact, a story.

Summary of the book (without spoiling anything):  The continent once known as North America is now simply Panem, broken up into 12 (once 13) districts.  Each district does a job, mining, agriculture, factories, technology, etc.  The immensely oppressive and controlling government, known as The Capitol, proves their power over their citizens once a year with an event entitled "The Hunger Games".  The Hunger Games involves two children between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district (one boy and one girl), to be entered into an arena where they all fight to the death.  The last person alive is crowned victor and is famous among all of Panem.  Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are entered in the games, and into a new world they never thought they'd get to know, The Capitol.  Peeta, who has had a crush on Katniss since childhood, is suddenly forced to kill her.....or is he?  Peeta, (being the incredibly sweet and perfect person that he is), makes his plight of the Games to be to save Katniss, and help her win.  The two team up when the game suddenly changes, and through unlikely circumstances, they are forced to be in love.  But it's all just an act.....right?  Find out what happens.  ;)

Goriness level:  10 XD  It was pretty bad....kids killing kids.....lots of injuries.....fire......death (a lot of it), warfare, blood, bugs, hallucination, etc, etc, etc.

Scare Factor:  8 or 9.  I made the mistake of reading these at bedtime/nighttime and ended up having a near-heart attack in my sleep and falling out of bed at 5am. XD

Sadness level:  For me?  1000.  For others?  It depends.  Some can read it without being sad, or you have me who sat in a puddle of her own tears sniveling for hours because of the ending to this book. xD

From a literature standpoint:  This book was fantastically written.  It was written in First Person POV, which was different but also really kinda cool, and very descriptive.  It's vivid and fast, and impossible to put down.  The dystophian world that Suzanne Collins created is just incredible.  I understand so many internet jokes now.  xD

Movie?  Yes, I really want to see it.  I've heard very good things about it.  The only thing that tips me off of the movie is that some people read the books AFTER seeing the movie.  I want to read the books and be depressed over the characters so i can go to the movies and sob watching my emotions play out on the big screen.  If you know what I mean.  XD

My recommendation?  If you haven't tried it, or are being defiant like I was, just cave and read it.  It's so good guys.....I loved it.  Very well written and such a great storyline too.  Enjoy, and May the Odds Ever be in your Favor. ;)

Well, to round up this post, I am almost done with the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire, with only three chapters to go.  I am literally dying to find out what happens.  This book might be as good as (if not better than) the first.  :)

Mega Movie Post

Okay, I just came back from a short weekend vacation. ;)  As we often do when vacationing together, my lovely (birthday girl!!!!!!) cousin, Chibi, and I watched movies!

We saw.....
Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and The Last Crusade
Star Wars Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope
The Muppets
A Very Potter Musical (not exactly a movie, but we watched the majority of the first show...XD)
and
How To Train your Dragon: Gift of the Night Fury

I'll quickly review them for you all....;)  Because I love movies and had a ton of fun watching them!

I will review The Last Crusade first, because I liked it INFINITELY better.  XD

Stars:  8/10 stars
Liked:  It was a good movie!  It had good scenes, funny dialogue, and it showed Indy's relationship with his dad.  I loved the history of the Holy Grail, and everything that happened in the climax/ending.
Disliked:  The girl.  I don't even remember her name, honestly.  XD  There were also a few /slower/ parts, that I had already seen the first time I watched this movie and didn't feel like seeing again.  XD
Favorite Scene: Like I said, the ending.  I loved how Indy really loved his dad and was willing to risk his own life to save his father's.  :)  DRAMA!!!! ;)
Overall Thoughts:  Great movie!!!!  Family friendly for the most part, and full of action!!!  My second favorite Indy film.  :)

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:

Stars: 3/10
Liked: The music....a /few/ quotes.....some of the action....that's it....
Disliked:  The whole movie.  XD  I did NOT like this movie AT ALL.  I hated the scene with all the ants (I HAD NIGHTMARES.  I have a bad fear of bugs...) and I didn't like that Indy *SPOILER* married *END SPOILER* Marion.  She's not my favorite character AT ALL.  XD  I have seen the light of Willie Scott, LOL :P.....don't be offended anyone, I am just voicing my opinion.  I also hated that the answer/reason of the Crystal Skull was ALIENS.  HOW STUPID.  :P  Also, Indy and Marion were both SO OLD.
Favorite Scene:  I didn't really have one.  I hated the whole thing.  XD
Overall Thoughts:  Don't waste your time folks.....the original Indy films were MUCH better....

Star Wars Episode II:  Attack Of The Clones: 

Stars: 8/10

Liked:  I love all the Star Wars movies!  This one isn't my favorite, but I do like it well enough. :)  I love Anakin and Padme (though I realize after watching this movie again that they aren't my favorite couple), and Obi-Wan is EPIC.  There are a ton of great quotes from this movie, and plenty of action as well!!!

Disliked:  Anakin is kinda annoying in this movie.  He's whiny and honestly he's pretty bratty.  He complains about Obi-Wan too much, and is a bit angry...XD  I also don't like Jango Fett....because in my eyes he's not half as epic as he's made out to be.  :P

Favorite Scene:  Anakin and Padme's wedding......<3  

Overall Thoughts:  Great movie....especially if you're a romancey person. ;)  Great action, and fun quotes.  Not my favorite Star Wars film, but still exceptional. 

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Stars: 9/10

Liked:  Oh man, about all the movie!  It's super duper depressing, but it's amazing.  The story line is epic, the characters are amazing, and the quotes and music are at their best.  

Disliked:  Everything from where Anakin turns to the Dark Side onward.  XD  LOL not really.  Other than the fact it makes me bawl....I love this movie.  :)

Favorite Scene:  I love the scene where Padme tells Anakin about her pregnancy, and as much as it breaks my heart, the scene with Obi-Wan and Anakin's battle on Mustafar!

Overall Thoughts:  The Star Wars saga at it's best.  I love this movie so much!!!!  But not as much as the Original Trilogy!  It's a depressing, tragic film, but definitely one of the most AMAZING movies EVER.  

Star Wars Episode IV:  A New Hope
Stars:  10/10
Liked:  What's not to like?  This movie is all around AMAZING.  I love everything about it, it's truly the beginning of a Saga.  What do I like....hummm....LUKE SKYWALKER. <3  X-WINGS. <3
Disliked:  How whiny they make Luke out to be......
Favorite Scene:  The Battle of Yavin....the Death Star scenes with Han and Leia.....The Throne Room scene. ;)
Overall Thoughts:  EVERYONE ON EARTH SHOULD SEE THIS MOVIE IT IS AMAZING.  How can you NOT like this?

How To Train Your Dragon: Gift of the Night Fury:
Stars:  10/10
Liked:  Well, it /was/ a short show, but it was AWESOME.  SO SWEET and SO CUTE and SO PERFECT.  It was just in time for the holidays, and REALLY REALLY CUTE!  :D  Hiccup and Astrid were flipping ADORABLE, and Toothless makes me wanna sob with adorableness.  I LOVED every second of this...I wish it were longer!
Disliked:  NOTHING.  NOTHING.  It was so cute, there was nothing to dislike!!!!  It was practically fanfiction come to life!!!!!!!!!!
Favorite Scene:  Either the scene where Astrid and Hiccup are talking with each other when Hiccup's building Toothless's tail.....or towards the end with Astrid and Hiccup again. :)  And the scenes with Hiccup and Toothless because I am dying to have a real life Toothless because he is SO SWEET. <333
Overall Thoughts:  YOU. THERE.  GO WATCH THIS NOW.  HERE I'LL EVEN GIVE YOU THE VIDEO I WATCHED ON YOUTUBE.

A Very Potter Musical: (I know this isn't a movie, but I'll review it anyway)
Stars:  9/10
Liked: The comedy.  Heck, that was HYSTERICAL!!!!  I haven't laughed so hard in a LONG TIME.  The music was GREAT, the choreography good, and it was just SO FUNNY!!!!!!!  I want to see this one on Broadway someday! ;)
Disliked:  The language.  :/  That was the only bad thing.  I filtered out most of the language mentally, but it's definitely not appropriate for younger kids.  Some of the words aren't appropriate at all but in some scenes, that's what makes it so hilarious!  :P
Favorite Scene (and/or song):  I love the opening song best, (Goin' Back To Hogwarts) and my favorite scene is anything with Draco in it.  Even though he's played by a girl, Draco is the most hilarious character I have EVER seen.  ;)
Overall Thoughts: I do not like Harry Potter.  I never really have.  But now......I at least like A Very Potter Musical.  Okay...I LOVE A Very Potter Musical.  I'm not saying that I'll read the books or anything, but this funny spoof of it made me very happy.  ;)  I thought it was flippin' hilarious, and I'd recommend it to people not effected or offended by strong language.  ;)

The Muppets:
Stars:  10/10
Liked: EVERYTHING.  AHH EVERYTHING.  I am a huge Muppets fan....die-hard fan actually.  I grew up with The Muppet Show...so this movie made me CRY.  Chibi and I have been Muppet Lovers for as long as I can remember....I can remember sitting in our room and watching hours of The Muppet Show, laughing hysterically over it.  I think we're the only kids EVER who watched the Muppets and who actually cared about the old show.  ;)  All the nostalgia of this movie had me crying fifteen minutes in.  I could relate to Walter...the Muppets were my heroes.  (though sadly, I do not have Kermit on my watch) LOL ;)
Disliked:  Some of the guest star cameos....not only because I didn't know who they were but I didn't like the actors!  XD  Haha!  :P
Favorite Scene (and/or song): I love all the songs....I had "We Built This City" in my head all night that night.  XD  "The Rainbow Connection" made me cry and "Man or Muppet" made me laugh hysterically...but then sing along.  ;)  Also, my favorite Muppet song is the remake of "Moving Right Along" because it is SO CATCHY.  :)
Overall Thoughts:  Any Muppet fan should go see this movie.  It's super sweet, downright hysterical, and a great family film.  It touched my heart...I loved every second of it.  I was crying at several parts.  ;)  I hope this movie goes #1.  ;)

Movie Mania!

Well, as most of my Internet friends know, I've been on vacation the past few days.  :)
So far, because it's hard to do a lot of fun things in paradise when it's RAINING the entire time, we watched movies.  A lot of movies.

Last weekend, we watched Cars 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 1, and the Muppet Show.  ;)

So I'll do a quick review of each movie I've watched so far.  We've got more to see!!!!  :D

Enchanted:
Enchanted is one of my favorite movies.  It's really cute, very funny and such a fairy tale!!!  LOL!
I give it: 8/10 stars.
Pros:  It's hilarious.  The characters are very funny and realistic, and the music is great.  :)
Cons:  I can't even think of any cons.  Maybe the one guy....Nathaniel.  I find him slightly irritating.  :P  XD
Favorite song:

Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark
I give it: 8/10 stars.
Pros:  It has tons of action, romance, more awesome action, and a treasure hunt!  xD  And Indy is really cute.
Cons: It had some language......and my sister was in the room for parts of that.......xDDD  And a lot of blood.  :P

Favorite Song:

(ooh, shocker)  But seriously, I love that song.  When I run around the house singing: "DUH DUH DUH DAAAAA DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!!!!!  DUH DUH DUH DAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!  DUN DA DA DA DUNN!!!!!" It's borderline obsession.  XD  When I go to Disney World in a few weeks, I'm buying a Indiana Jones Hat.  I swear.

I give it: 9/10 stars!!!!!  This movie was fabulous!!!!  :D
Pros:  It had comedy, romance, action, and epic soundtrack and costumes!!!!!!
Cons:  Mild language, violence, blood, and kinda gross special effects.  XD

Pros:  It's all around epic.  There is no other way to describe it.  It's got action, romance, comedy, and historical treasure hunts.  Totally awesome.
Cons:  I can't think of anything.  XD  I seriously can't.  It's too good of a movie.  ;P

I give it: 10/10 stars!!!!  It's just as good as the first!!!!!!!  :D
Pros:  More action, romance, chase scenes, treasure hunting and history!!!  :D  Oh, and comedy!  You can't forget about that one!!!!  :)
Cons:  The ONLY thing I can think of is at the VERY beginning, in the flashback thing, it always makes me cry.  :P

Pros:  It is so absolutely amazingly adorable, it has dragons, awesome characters, and AMAZING soundtrack.
Cons:  The ending is bittersweet. And the fight scenes are intense.  xD

GAH THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THIS MOVIE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!  The songs make me cry.  Along with the ending.  XD

Yogi Bear:
I give it: 7/10 stars.  It was really funny, cute, and had a bit of depth, but over all, it's an okay movie. ;)
Pros:  It was downright hilarious.  You can't go wrong with Yogi Bear.  XD  That movie was so beyond funny.  :P  And I loved the bit of romance between Rachel and Ranger Smith.  XD  And how Politicians always ruin everything. XDD
Cons: It was pretty 'lame' if you can call it that, and the humor was the 'stupid funny' type.  But it was SUPER funny.  Not many cons.  :P
Favorite song:  Okay, since I couldn't find any 'songs' for the movie, I'll give a few quotes.  ;)
Booboo: Go back in Mr. Turtle!

I give it: 10/10 stars.  This. Movie. Is. Incredible.
Pros: The whole movie is a pro.  I mean, all the favorite characters are back and better than ever.  It's fantastic.  Andy is a sweet teenager, and all the toys are loyal and sweet.  :)  I love Barbie and Ken. xD
Cons:  The ending made me sob.  A lot.  XD  And there were some pretty intense scenes.  AKA the incinerator.  :P
Favorite song:

Meet the Robinson's
I give it: 10/10 stars.  This is one of my all time favorite movies.  Amazing message, and adorable characters, fun story line and just so.....Disney.  ;)
Pros:  Everything.  They are all so great.  I love the whole thing.  And the whole, 'Keep Moving Forward' thing is so awesome.  ;)
Cons: Doris scares me.  XDD  It's so creepy.  :P  No other cons.  At all.
Favorite song:

GAAAHHH I love this song so darn much!!!!!!!!!  :DDDDD  I keep singing it.  :)

Review: *****
I'd give it 5 out of 5 stars.  I honestly LOVED this book!!!

Pros:
It took place in Florida.  That was like, my favorite thing.
The characters were interesting and fun.
I loved Nick and Marta, and Twilly Spree for that matter.  Smoke wasn't bad either, and when it all boiled down to the climax, I even liked Mrs. Starch!!!  I could recognize with the characters and they seemed genuine.  The bad guys were a mix of humor, stupidity and down right villainry.  Great mix.
It had action!  Mystery!  Drama!  Weird things that make you go "Whaaaa???"!!!  Animals!!  Panthers! 

Cons:
There aren't many cons!  XD
The language was kinda that of a South Floridian.  Hehe.  Actually, the language wasn't all that bad.  For me, it made the characters seem even more 'real'.  More believable.  Maybe two or three words that I wouldn't use on an ever basis, but still.  :P

Mrs. Starch – fearsome biology teacher – never returned from a field trip to Black Vine Swamp.

The principal says she was called away on a "family emergency," but Nick and Marta don't buy it. They think Smoke, the class delinquent, has something to do with her disappearance.

And he does! But not in the way that they think. There's a lot more going on in Black Vine Swamp than any one player in this twisted tale can see. And Nick and Marta will have to reckon with an eccentric eco-avenger, a stuffed rat named Chelsea, a wannabe Texas oilman, a singing substitute teacher, and a ticked-off Florida panther before they'll really begin to see the big picture.

That's life in the swamp, kids.

Nick and Marta are best friends who are thrust into a crazy adventure when their hated biology school teacher Mrs. Starch goes missing in the Black Vine Swamp in Big Cypress Wildlife Reserve after a wildfire.  Nick and Marta kinda take it upon themselves to see where Mrs. Starch is, and why she hasn't returned.  And why/how is Smoke, the school delinquent involved?!?  Banding together with wildlife preservationist and naturalist Twilly Spree, the kids save a baby panther cub, and the fate of the Everglades!
Jimmy Lee Bayliss and Drake McBride need to make money, fast.  They illegally try to drill for natural oil in the middle of a panther preserve in the Big Cypress Reserve.  Drake McBride's stupidity mixed with Jimmy Lee Bayliss's cunning and needs-this-job attitude, makes for pretty hilarious bad-guys. 

My thoughts:
I really, REALLY loved this book!!!!  I read it in one day.  :)  The plot is fun, and it's environmentally friendly/centered, but it's not shoving 'Green' in your face.  :P  It had awesome characters, and the back stories of Nick, Smoke, and Mrs. Starch are super interesting.  I cried (well, almost cried) for Nick in this book.  Smoke is actually a likable character once you get to know him.  :P  The author (Carl Hiaasen) did a great job writing kids.  He usually writes adult novels, but in this book (and Hoot and Flush) he really gets the kids and their dialogue down great.  I was pleasantly surprised.  ;)

Would I recommend it to anyone? 
YES!!!!!!  You all should read this!  XD  Well, it may be different for everyone.  For me, I could picture where and when everything was happening, but that's because this took place in my state, and I know it pretty well.  For some other people, it may be a bit foreign and hard to picture.  It's described REALLY well though.  ;)

Lemonade Mouth

Wow.  I LOVE this movie.  I've only seen it twice and I already love it.  It's got a great message, and such a FUN story!!!!  :D

I know a lot of my friends don't have cable, so I'm gonna give y'all a run down of the  movie and songs.  ;)  I'm gonna turn it into a critique while I'm at it.  ;)  (hey mom.....extra credit???)

First of all, the plot is really nice.  I mean, the overall plot is good, but the side plots with the personal characters are really good too. 
Olivia, Wen, Charlie, Mo, and Stella are Lemonade Mouth.  They are unlikely friends.  They met in detention and start a band.  This is not so original, but the characters themselves are original.  And so is the band. 
These kids all should be in therapy.  :P 
Charlie's trying to live up to his parent's overly high goals for him, set by his older brother.  His brother is the perfect grades, perfect collage, and soccer superstar.  Charlie likes the drums, and is an average student.
Mo has an overprotective father who wants her to be a perfect Indian daughter, when she just wants to be herself. 
Stella's parents are geniuses.  Her twin brothers are geniuses.  She's just......Stella.  Her mom is creating biodegradable plastic, her dad is working to cure cancer, and her twin brothers are rising robotic engineers who build their own toys.  She's a 'rebellious' teenager with an attitude and a strong will.
Wen's parents split up and got a divorce, and his dad moved on an got a 28 year old girlfriend.  (this guy is old btw.  He's got a kid in high school.)  Wen doesn't take well to the new girl friend, who his dad ends up proposing to.
Olivia's mother is dead.  Her father is in prison.  She lives with her grandmother in an 'old timey' house.  Her only connection to her deceased mother is a cat.  A very old, sick and dying cat.  Guess what happens to that cat?

These teens (teenagers, kids, etc.) lean on each other for support thru their problems.  :P
They form this band, and have these new friends when they all have sort of been 'strangers in the crowd' before.  Olivia is the lead singer, Mo plays bass and is a back up singer, Wen plays keyboards, Charlie's on drums, and Stella plays guitar.  They can all sing actually.  xD  The songs are all inspirational and very moving actually.  I nearly cried during "Always More Than A Band".  My favorite song is Determinate.  :)

Time to learn the plot.  xD

Stella is the 'voice' of Lemonade Mouth.  (that's their band name)  The music has a MEANING.  Listen to the lyrics.  They're good.  :)  (Ley will like this).  Not only that, but the kids are strong willed and are standing up for their rights.  The principal of the school they go to is a "Sports Are Life" kind of person.  He wrecked the school's budget just so they could build a new gymnasium.  He doesn't like people doing anything that ISN'T what he wants to see or hear.  He 'kills' Lemonade Mouth, right after their first performance, because they begin to talk about standing up for what you believe in and standing up for what is right.  Stella was explaining that people need to not let their school, or anything in their lives, rule over them, or let them treat them like they're less than they are.  The principal gets pretty ticked off and 'shuts down' Lemonade Mouth.  But it gets better, because they get a gig at a local pizza place.  :)  It's all good for a while.  The whole town pretty much falls in love with Lemonade Mouth, and they support them.  :)  It so sweet!  Then, (of course) things fall apart.  You see, EVERYTHING falls apart.  The band is supposed to go to "Rising Star" where the winning band gets a record deal and all that jazz.  :P  So, the DAY BEFORE Rising Star, one kid broke his fingers, the other got a black eye, two got sick, and they all ended up in jail.  It's a long story.  :P They still show up at Rising Star, and although they lose, all the Lemonade Fans show their support because they sing for them, when the band can't.  It's actually really sweet.  It's another touching scene.  :)

Of course, everything gets better!!!  (I mean, come on, this is a Disney movie).  It all picks back up because when the band goes to Wen's dad's wedding, Stella sits next to the owner of the lemonade company that inspired their name.  (you gotta see the movie for that part, it's another long story).  Mel (the lemonade dude) sponsors them, and sponsors the school to open a music hall, and then gives Lemonade Mouth a record deal.  The movie ends when they preform at Madison Square Garden.  :)  Happy Ending!!!!!! 

Anyway, I absolutely love this movie.  It has interesting characters, great music, and good morals.  :)  I'd say that it's more for kids from 9 and up, because the characters' problems are a bit......intense(ish).  So yeah.  But this is a Disney movie so it's good.  xD  My sister liked it too.  I'm singing Determinate right now.  :)  I'm hoping for the CD for Easter or something.  :)

Johnny Tremain

I want to talk about Johnny Tremain.  Johnny Tremain has been keeping my occupied when I’m not doing school during my time of not being on the internet/being sick.  I rented three movies from the Library prior to my time being grounded/sick.  I got, Revenge of the Sith *I needed it for a fanfic*, Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief, and Johnny Tremain.  I already loved Johnny Tremain the book, and was a bit nervous to see it in movie form. 

Disney did the Johnny Tremain movie, so I was a little less nervous, but then I remembered what happened with Swiss Family Robinson.  I had to read that for school, and then went to watch the movie after wards only to see that they TOTALLY changed EVERYTHING!  They left out one brother, and NONE of the events from the book happened, except maybe the very beginning and a part with the Sports Day.  That was like, IT.  I was pleasantly surprised with Johnny Tremain however.  I LOVED IT!!!!!! 

So I’m officially obsessed with Johnny Tremain.  The movie was Ah-Maze-Ing!!!!!!!  I thought the movie was better than the book!!!!!!  :D  I won’t give TOO many spoilers, but I SO loved it!!!!!  :D  If you haven’t read Johnny Tremain, I highly recommend it, but seriously, I thought the movie was great. 

First of all, the boy who played Johnny was SO CUTE!!!!!  :D

The boy who played Rab was also REALLY cute!!!!  :D

Plus, the girl who played Cilla was JUST like I saw her in my head when reading!!!!!  :D

Johnny’s character was done SUPER good, and so was Rab’s.  I thought Rab was better than in the book!  He wasn’t as quiet, and he was more sweet. ;)

I was so thrilled because in the book, *MAJOR SPOILER* Rab Dies! *END MAJOR SPOILER* and in the movie, *MAJOR SPOILER* Rab doesn’t die!!!!*END MAJOR SPOILER*  I was SO excited!!!!  :D  You’ve gotta see the movie.  It’s like an AU.  ;P  LOL, I already wrote two fanfics about the movie. 

The movie takes place during the Revolutionary War time period, a little bit before actually.  I’m learning about it in school, and this book and this movie were perfect for our History study.  Johnny took part in the Boston Tea Party and the battles of Lexington and Concord in the movie, but in the book he didn’t take part in Lexington and Concord.  It worked out better though if you ask me, it was more interesting and beyond more exciting.  J  I loved it!  I know that Amaranthine has read the book, and I highly recommend the movie Amaranthine!!!  :D  I’ve already watched it six times.  ;)

All the major characters were in, but they left out some more useless ones, like Miss Lavinia, Isanah, Madge, Dorcas, Dove, Dusty, The other Lytes, Mrs. Lorne, Rabbit, Pumpkin, Liutenent Stranger, and a few others.  Goblin the horse was in there, and I was really glad.  Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, Dr. Warren, Mr. Lyte, Mr. Lorne, and a few other Founding Fathers were in there too.  It was the same plot, which I liked, only Johnny got to see more action than he did in the book.  ;) 

One of the most important things that stuck with me from the movie and the book was James Otis.  I did a little research on James Otis and he was a pretty amazing guy.  He founded the Sons of Liberty.  He gave the same speech he did in the book in the movie, and it was very well done.  James Otis was injured on his head from some run-in with a redcoat (I think) and he sorta went a little mental.  He still had a few wits left, because he delievered a key turning point speech in the Observer's attic, which led Johnny to decide he needed to go to Lexington to help aid in the fight.  This is what he said, (book version)

"For what will we fight?"         

"To free Boston from these infernal redcoats and…"          "No," said Otis. "Boy, give me more punch. That's not enough reason for going into a war. Did any occupied city ever have better treatment than we've had from the British? Has one rebellious newspaper been stopped—one treasonable speech? Where are the firing squads, the jails jammed with political prisoners? What about the gallows for you, Sam Adams, and you John Hancock? It has never been set up. I hate those infernal British troops spread all over my town as much as you do. Can't move these days without stepping over a soldier. But we are not going off into civil war merely to get them out of Boston. Why are we going to fight? Why, why?          

There was an embarrassed silence. Sam Adams was the acknowledged ringleader. It was for him to speak now.          

"We will fight for the rights of Americans. England cannot take our money away by taxes."          

"No, no. For something more important than the pocketbooks of our American citizens."          

Rab said, "For the rights of Englishmen—everywhere."          

"Why stop with Englishmen?" Otis was warming up. He had a wide mouth, crooked and generous. He settled back in his chair and then he began to talk. It was such a talk as Johnny had never heard before. The words surged up through the big body, flowed out of the broad mouth. He never raised his voice, and he went on and on……..

"…For men and women and children all over the world," he said. "You were right, you tall, dark boy, for even as we shoot down the British soldiers we are fighting for rights such as they will be enjoying a hundred years from now…."            

"We are lucky men," he murmured, "for we have a cause worth dying for. This honor is not given to every generation."              

"It is all so much simpler than you think," he said. He lifted his hands and pushed against the rafters. "We give all we have, lives, property, safety, skills…we fight, we die, for one simple thing. Only that a man can stand up."  

"Hundreds would die, but not the thing they died for. 'A man can stand up…'"

Inspiring, isn't it?  He has a good point.  To me, when he said, "So a man can stand up," I think he meant that when they fought in the American Revolution, they were fighting for the rights to be able to stand up, and say what they think, and be able to have the freedom to think, speak and worship freely.  It's important to have a cause for the fighting.  A war with no purpose, no reason to fight, no real motivation to believe in the cause will just drone on forever and ever.  *cough: the clone war :cough*  Freedom is worth fighting for.  God is worth fighting for.  James Otis might've been crazy, but he seemed pretty sane that day..... ;)

(p.s. in the movie, Johnny said "for the rights of englishmen" not Rab)

This is the song they play (a few times) in the movie.  WARNING: SONG MAY BECOME STUCK IN HEAD!!!!!!!  I had this song in my head for three days straight.  :)  I've grown to love it.  ;)  I even wrote down the lyrics!

The Clone Wars: Overlords *Spoilers*

Ok, I know I said I wouldn't post on this until everyone saw it....but I can't resist.  I think Leia already saw it....so I'm good.

Overlords.

One word: WOW!

I was shocked, scared, nervous, excited, sad, and over all BLOWN AWAY.

I've heard mixed reviews so far.  Some liked it, some loved it, and some didn't like it so much.

I LOVED this episode.  It was intense, nervewracking, and revealingly scary.

I cried over next weeks commercial.....When Ahsoka said "I don't need you anymore" I flipped out and started sobbing.

Qui-Gon was AH-MAZE-ING!!!!  He looked even more awesome animated than I thought!!  He looked better on TV then just in the commercials!!!

Shmi was confusing and scary for me.  I hated how they tortured poor Anakin's mind.....but she was pretty animated too!!  I was crying for Anakin at that moment.....poor Ani.  I love him!!!  (Sorry, went all fangirly for a moment there....tee hee...)

Older Ahsoka made me scream my lungs out!!!!!  I NEVER, EVER imagined them showing that!!!!!!!! My first impression was: What is Shaak Ti doing here?!?
Then:  OH MY GOSH!!!!!  I AM SO CONFUSED!!!!!  WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON?!?!?!?
Then: Wow, she's really pretty!!!!!

I think that how they made Anakin choose between Ahsoka and Obi-Wan was cruel.  I was thinking the whole time (while scream/crying)
I know what happens to Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka's in next week's episode so this HAS to have a good ending!!!!!!  LOL!

Here are my Pro's and Con's of this episode.....inspired by Amaranthine's Good and Bad points.

Pro's:
Hello?  Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan?!?!!?  They are like my FAVORITE TCW characters!!!!!  Plus, Anakin's SUPER hot in these episodes.  I loved how the seasons changed with the time of day.  I don't know why, I just thought that was SO cool.  I had a dream like that once.  I liked Qui-Gon and older Ahsoka.  I screamed a lot.  A LOT.

Con's:
Anakin was tortured by his guilt/feelings the WHOLE time!!!  I love him, and hated to see him like that!!!  :P  I didn't like the whole, beginning, middle, end thing, because that is GOD, NOT THE FORCE!!!  I didn't like how much they went into the Force and how (As Amaranthine calls her,) Lettuce Head and her evil red eyed brother were always fighting.  I hated that.  It not only scared me (I am a huge baby anyway) it just was too....witchcrafty I guess.  Even worse than the Nightsisters.  I looked past all of it though because this is just a story, and I know what I believe.

Extra Con:
I cried.   Almost as much as I screamed.  Anakin's feelings being played with made me cry, especially his facial and first reaction to seeing Shmi/Evil Thing.  Also, the commercial.
OH THE COMMERCIAL!  I walked out of my parent's bedroom (I was locked in there with my sister until the show was over so we could watch it without bothering my parent's with out loudness) I walked out of my parent's room sobbing.  Badly.  I was also really tired, but I was very upset by Anakin and Ahsoka fighting.  I would SO hate if:
A. He killed her
B. She killed herself (Oh Gosh NO!)
C. She stays dark forever
D. It ruins their relationship

I LOVE Anakin and Ahsoka's Master/Padawan relationship.  I think it's so sweet, and he really loves her, even if he won't/can't admit it.  I don't think I would be able to watch TCW if Ahsoka died or something happened with her and Anakin.  That would be horrible.  I would probably slip into depression!!!  LOL!

So that's my review.  More posts are coming, and I enjoyed my sleepover/break from school very much! ;)
