So...um....well....

It's been a while, hasn't it?  Well, school and other things have come in the way of 2Thine again....sadly.  I have a bit of time to catch all of you, my lovely friends, up with what's been going on with me.
1.  School has been crazy.  We're kinda cramming in a way, because May is coming and we have a LOT going on in May. :P
2.  I JUST auditioned in my orchestra.  I feel pretty confident, but also kinda nervous as to if I'll get chosen to move up or not.  I'm hoping that the odds will be in my favor.  (this leads me into the next point...)
3.  I am officially a fan of The Hunger Games.  I'll discuss this more after my list.  I like lists.
4.  Pinterest occupies a lot of my time.  My username on there is @FallonSkywalker (same as Twitter) if you care to follow me.  I am enjoying it immensely.
5.  The Avengers is in TEN DAYS PEOPLE.  TEN.

Okay, now I shall write my thoughts on The Hunger Games, from MY WORLDVIEW.  So haters and other people who do not like my worldview, chill.  My thoughts, my words, my opinion.  Just getting that out there. XD

First off, to quiet those who might call me a "follower" or a "sheep" or whatever, due to the popularity of the book series, which partly is due to the fact that the movie had just recently come out (I really want to see it now XD), I have been meaning to read these books for some time.  My lovely cousin Embie read them about two years ago, and recommended them to me back then, with the warning that they were somewhat disturbing and very violent.  At that time, my exposure to sci-fi and more horror-ish things in general was very non-existent, and I had no desire to read something scary.  And thinking about it, I probably wouldn't be able to tolerate it.  But after Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and several super-hero movies, I am quite immune to violence and such things, and also very good at getting attached to characters whose fates are doomed. XD
Thus, with the popularity of these books that I hadn't even thought about for two years, I was very intrigued to know WHY the rest of the world liked them so much.  I wanted to know what the deal was about "Team Peeta" and "Team Gale" and why "I VOLUNTEER" is such a popular meme.
I have had multiple people recommend the books to me, friends from the internet, "real life", and random acquaintances.  Finally I took the plunge about a week ago, breaking open The Hunger Games on Wednesday night of last week.

Two words.  Four Thirty.
That is how late I stayed up reading that gosh-darn book.  I read the first page with curiosity and speculation, and after that, I could NOT put it down.  There were ZERO stopping points in the whole thing. I read and read until I couldn't keep my eyes open.  I was 3/4 of the way finished with the book when 4:30am rolled around.  I had to wake up at 7am, do Presidential fitness at P.E. the next day, and then teach dance and do dance for 5 hours that afternoon.  To say the least, I got home and literally crashed and burned. XD

I was able to pick it up again on Saturday and I finished the book in one sitting.  I sobbed through the entire ending, because I was devastated that it wasn't even a spark of happiness.  I was miserable all night (and then had to deal with drama on The Lakehouse) so my emotions were in torment all night long. XD  It didn't help that on the same night I chose to watch trailers for the movie (I sobbed like an idiot) and then reblog every THG item in sight on Tumblr.  And look at merchandise, and listen to the soundtrack for the movie (BEYOND BEAUTIFUL.  EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A FAN, GO LISTEN NOW).

To end that pathetic story, here are my overall thoughts of the book.

Overall Rating:  9.5/10 stars.  I take off a half-point for it being too gory in one scene for me to read (I skimmed part of the Tracker Jacker scene XD)

Rating from a Christian perspective:  7ish/10 stars.  Depending on how Christian you are judging this by, the book was gory, violent, and scary, and the worldviews in the book were not exactly ideal for all.  I personally was not too bothered by it, because it is in fact, a story.

Summary of the book (without spoiling anything):  The continent once known as North America is now simply Panem, broken up into 12 (once 13) districts.  Each district does a job, mining, agriculture, factories, technology, etc.  The immensely oppressive and controlling government, known as The Capitol, proves their power over their citizens once a year with an event entitled "The Hunger Games".  The Hunger Games involves two children between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district (one boy and one girl), to be entered into an arena where they all fight to the death.  The last person alive is crowned victor and is famous among all of Panem.  Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are entered in the games, and into a new world they never thought they'd get to know, The Capitol.  Peeta, who has had a crush on Katniss since childhood, is suddenly forced to kill her.....or is he?  Peeta, (being the incredibly sweet and perfect person that he is), makes his plight of the Games to be to save Katniss, and help her win.  The two team up when the game suddenly changes, and through unlikely circumstances, they are forced to be in love.  But it's all just an act.....right?  Find out what happens.  ;)

Goriness level:  10 XD  It was pretty bad....kids killing kids.....lots of injuries.....fire......death (a lot of it), warfare, blood, bugs, hallucination, etc, etc, etc.

Scare Factor:  8 or 9.  I made the mistake of reading these at bedtime/nighttime and ended up having a near-heart attack in my sleep and falling out of bed at 5am. XD

Sadness level:  For me?  1000.  For others?  It depends.  Some can read it without being sad, or you have me who sat in a puddle of her own tears sniveling for hours because of the ending to this book. xD

From a literature standpoint:  This book was fantastically written.  It was written in First Person POV, which was different but also really kinda cool, and very descriptive.  It's vivid and fast, and impossible to put down.  The dystophian world that Suzanne Collins created is just incredible.  I understand so many internet jokes now.  xD

Movie?  Yes, I really want to see it.  I've heard very good things about it.  The only thing that tips me off of the movie is that some people read the books AFTER seeing the movie.  I want to read the books and be depressed over the characters so i can go to the movies and sob watching my emotions play out on the big screen.  If you know what I mean.  XD

My recommendation?  If you haven't tried it, or are being defiant like I was, just cave and read it.  It's so good guys.....I loved it.  Very well written and such a great storyline too.  Enjoy, and May the Odds Ever be in your Favor. ;)

Well, to round up this post, I am almost done with the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire, with only three chapters to go.  I am literally dying to find out what happens.  This book might be as good as (if not better than) the first.  :)

The Soundtrack of my Life

Music is the soundtrack of our lives.  It says things about us.  It tells about who we are.  What our interests are, what we love, what makes us happy, excited, and fills us with joy.

Music can tell a story....or bring you back to a certain time and place.  I'm going to share a few songs that once I hear them, take me to different times and places.  ;)

The first song is very significant.  As soon as this song comes on my iPod or the radio or whatever, I am automatically in my grandparent's vacation home, a few summers back, playing Moxie Girlz with my cousin and sister.  We wrote journals for our dolls, made outfits, books, and accessories.  :)  The Owl City soundtrack "Ocean Eyes" was our game soundtrack that year.

Now this song brings me back to several summers ago....when we had our American Girl doll epics.  That was fantastic, and this CD was played on repeat almost the entire time.  ;)

This song was our theme song for a trip we took last year, to Sanibel Island.  GOODNESS I want to go back so bad it HURTS.  I can't even listen to the whole song. XD

(also this video is the most epic thing I have ever seen....especially since my latest obsession is My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.)  :D

Hah, this one is funny.  Every time I hear this song I think of Amaranthine, and her nagging at me to finish up the Lakehouse Forum newsletter while I was on vacation.  I listened to this song on repeat the entire time finishing that darn thing (because she sent me the link!).  XDD

This song is not only adorable and funny, it brings back memories of how Ember and I started the idea to create a Movie Review blog, which will be starting up soon, once she goes on Spring Break.  ;)  We were the oldest (not adults) people in the theater to see Winnie the Pooh, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.  xD

This next song actually brings back bad memories....XD  When i was in the 5th grade, my class took a field trip to this REALLY REALLY REALLY epic place called "Pathfinders".  It was AMAZING.  I'll never forget it.  One thing I definitely won't forget is how horribly carsick I got on the way there.  XDD  I was miserable.  Luckily, my dad was one of the parent chaperons, and I had a few nice friends who stuck with me when I was so sick, but I remember vividly being really really ill.  And then the bus played a scary movie (for all the boys, LOL) and when I was only 11 or 12 (however old I was...I don't really remember) and with my really wimpy scare-factor, this freaked me out.  My dad had given me my iPod to listen to while I tried not to be sick again and not watch the scary movie that was going to make me cry.  This was that song, and I really still can't listen to it without getting that cringing "I-don't-like-this-feeling" feeling in the pit of my stomach. XD

Happier song/memory now....xD This reminds me of playing volleyball with my sister and cousin at the vacation house.  We'd listen to one of our iPods (my cousin's at the time if I am correct) and we'd just sing the songs over and over and over.  This was our favorite that day. :)

Last one for this post......this song makes me think about our trip to Sarasota, where I got to meet the amazing Timothy Zahn!!! :D  We drove around going to all the tourist-y spots and stuff while there, and I listened to this song on repeat in the car. ;)

In Other News...

Friends!!! I am sorry for neglecting 2Thine for the past few days...I've been wanting to do a few posts, but I haven't gotten a chance to sit down and write at all recently!! :P  I suppose this will be a catch-up post, about everything with me and what I have in store for future blog posts!!!!

This blog has suddenly become quite inspirational...with all these popular posts!!  I'm glad that my writing seems to be appealing to you all!! :)


Anyway, I've just been really busy lately!!!  I have so many emails to get caught up on.....and papers to write for school and practicing to do on my viola.  It's a lot of work.  Plus writing tons of blog posts and other things!! :P  


My cousin had her confirmation over the weekend, and we had an awesome family dinner.  
I am now into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.  It's awesome.  Seriously.  I am in love with it.  
I've been doing only a little bit of writing lately, and most of it is OC fanfiction/stories.  :D  I'm working on a new book! :)
I cleaned my room (it's a miracle) and there was more glitter on my floor than dirt/dust.  XD
I have issues.  Friend issues mostly, and others.  I'm giving up and giving it to God.  I'm tired of drama.
I love Dance Moms, I love drama that isn't my own.
Because of Dance Moms I am now giving my sister Dance Intensives.  I have learned that I make a pretty good dance teacher.  I pick it up from my job at our studio.  My sister hates me for being her tap teacher though, because Tap is what I'm most passionate about.  XD
I'm thinking of starting a business.  It's all in the works (my head), and I'd appreciate support/prayers.  I decided I want to be an entrepreneur.
My mom is such a fangirl.  Fate of the Jedi's last book (Apocalypse) comes out today, and she's waiting for it to go online at Midnight so she can buy it.  This coming from the woman who's bedtime is 8:30...this is a big deal.  We're going to read it together and fangirl and freak out over it tonight/tomorrow morning.  ;)  I'm excited.

Time For Some Music

I'm in a sing-songy mood right now.....so I'm going to share a few of my favorite songs with you all!!! :D Hope you don't mind! ;)

One of my favorite bands....The Band Perry, is awesome!!!  This was the first song I heard from them, several summers ago!  I love this song so much....I know all the words!!  It's just a cute, feel-good song. ;)

This is my current favorite song (as far as Country Music goes).  Lady Antebellum (my all time favorite band)'s new album Own The Night has me totally hooked.  I got it for Christmas. ;)  This is the single from that album, and I LOOOOOOVE IT.  I just can't stop listening to this song!!!!

Don't you judge me....I know this is a song that was featured on a show on Disney Channel, but i love this song.  Some of the lyrics are wrong, but still, listen to the song itself.  It's EPIC. :D

My favorite song off of the How To Train Your Dragon soundtrack.  That movie has the most BEAUTIFUL music!!! ;D  I'm teaching myself to play this on the viola. ;D

Alright......warning time. This song is called "Party Rock Anthem".  It's my current not-country-or-soundtrack-song.  It is, however, got a few questionable lyrics in there.  If you don't want to see that, don't watch the video or listen too closely to the song.  I still absolutely love this song despite it's few lyric mishaps. xD  It's the ultimate dance song, and party anthem!  ;D

Keith Urban.....mmmhhhmmmm. :D  This is my favorite song by him.  My family and i LOVE it.  :D  It's just so sweet and cute and awesome!!!  I never fail to grin whenever this song plays. ;)

Meet the Robinsons....my favorite Disney Movie. :D It's the best one....really. ;)  And it's soundtrack is wonderful.  This is my favorite song. :D I sing this ALL DAY LONG.  ;D

We warm up the little girls by doing "adagio" to this song.  Essentially, it's do as I do, and we (the teachers) dance up front and the little girls copy us.  I've got it memorized to this song.  Plus, it's my all time favorite Disney classic song. ;D

My sister's ballet song is to this one this year, and I am JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!  I LOVE THIS SONG.  Seriously, I've liked/loved it for a long time.  I'm gonna learn my sister's dance just so I can enjoy it.  XD

Ooohh....as much as I love the Wicked soundtrack, this might be my favorite song on their.  I didn't listen to it for a while, just the happy, everyone-knows-those-songs, songs....but once I heard it once, I needed to listen to it incessantly until I knew all the words. ;)  It ties with No Good Deed as my favorite. ;D

Thor has an incredible soundtrack.  The music often moves me to tears.  :')

I had to feature Lemonade Mouth.......I am a sucker for a good Disney Channel Original Movie, and this one hit it outta the park.  ;)  That's rare for me to say I actually liked one of the Disney movies, they all seem to be rather shallow, plot non-existent, and stupid.  ;P I love Lemonade Mouth though, and the songs are just great. ;) Tar-Tar, it's our song! :D

My second favorite song on the Thor soundtrack.  Flawless. ;D

IRON. MAN.  I love this song!!!!!! ;D

Owl City has been an obsession of mine for like, forever.  ;)  This song brings back so many good memories!!! ;D  *happy sigh*

I'm not sure on all of the lyrics in this song, just a warning....but it's my song for dance recital this year. :D

Captain America: A Movie Review

Okay....I've gotten into the Captain America craze......and I see why the rest of the internet/world has gotten into it!!!!!!
I LOVE this movie.  It's probably my second favorite movie of all time now....bumping Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom to third favorite! O.O

Captain America was a movie I had been really psyched to see thanks to my lovely friends on both Blogger and The Lakehouse Forum. (and the real world too) ;)  *cough Tara-Lareen-Jamie-Maryanna cough*

This movie more than exceeded my expectations.  I knew it would be cool....I mean, it's a Marvel movie!  ;D And I've heard the most incredible reviews....so I figured it would be great.
But this movie was amazing.  It brought me to tears (hysterical tears to be exact) and I have watched it 8 times since first seeing it on the day after Christmas, and I still have not gotten the least bit bored with it.  ;)
Here's a mini review, followed by my deeper thoughts.

Captain America:

Stars: 10/10

Liked: Um...EVERYTHING?  The plot, the characters, the villains, the story, the script, the flow, the music, the setting, the weapons, the sidekicks, Steve Rogers?

Disliked:  The death of a certain character.  The ending.  XD

Favorite Scene: After the procedure.  Bucky Rescue.  Ending.  Stark/Shield scene.  Steve and Peggy in car.  Steve and Peggy in bar.  Col. Phillips and Dr. Zola.  The Epic Montage.

Favorite Song:  

(I know all the words to this song.)

Overall Thoughts:  There is so much I want to say about this movie!!!!!!! XD  It was practically perfect in every way!  It had amazing action, wonderful characters, interesting (and heartbreaking) plot lines, amazing soundtrack, perfect dialogue, and just.......AHHH SO PERFECT!!!!!!
I love the character of Steve Rogers.  He is humble, he is valiant, he is brave, and he has a heart.  In Steve's own words, he's just a kid from Brooklyn.  He's no one special, he was not born a hero, he proved himself to be one.
I love Steve.  So much.  XD  He's just so perfect!

And he draws!  *swoons*

Bucky Barnes, Steve's best friend, is also incredible.  He goes from being Steve's protector and sticking up for him, to being his partner in his own battalion, the Howling Commandos.  Bucky is really sweet, funny and loveable. <3  I wish I saw a LOT more of him in the movie!!!!!!!  ;)

Peggy Carter....ahh.  Peggy is the best female lead character role I have seen in a movie since Star Wars: A New Hope with Princess Leia.  ;)  She's strong, she's tough, she's EPIC!  And she's got a British accent, what more could anyone want?  She and Steve are PERFECT for each other.  ;)

Red Skull.  This is the baddest bad guy I have seen in a while!  He's got a freaky back story, and such a controlling and scary character, it's intriguing!  :D  

The other characters were also amazing, such as Col. Phillips, Dr. Zola (lol) and a bunch of others!!!  The Howling Commandos are AMAZING.  I love them.  XD

I recommend this movie to EVERYONE.  There is only a slight warning for language....but other than that, it's an INCREDIBLE movie.  The ending made me cry, both with joy and with terrible sorrow.  XD  I love this movie more than i can say....and I am waiting for my Steve Rogers to come and sweep me off my feet!  ;)

The Clone Wars: Mortis from a Fangirl's POV

:)  I couldn't get my Fangirl Blast post written in time.....so I will be putting that up soon....until then, enjoy this very sarcastic/crazy fangirl post I wrote a while back!  ;)  

The Mortis Trilogy in Star Wars: The Clone Wars never fails to make me want to fall on the floor, in a crumpled pile of fangirl-tears.  And not the good kind either...the depressed-the-world-is-going-to-end-over-my-fictional-obsessions kind of tears.  

You see….I remember watching The Mortis Trilogy on Cable Television when it first came out, which is now bordering on a year ago, and I remember being locked away in my parents bedroom watching the episodes on their small TV so I wouldn’t disturb my family with my freak-out-fangirl moments.

Now, something you should know about me is this.  I am emotional.  Books, fanfics, movies, TV shows and even some internet articles make me want to break down.  Whether it’s of tears of happiness or tears of sadness….I am often in a very emotional state.  Some might even say I’m crazy, but I beg to differ. 

Anyway….rewatching The Mortis trilogy did nothing to help my emotions, seeing all the drama, emotional torture and trauma that occurred to my favorite characters.  So much happened that I still can’t comprehend it sometimes! 

Soon after Mortis aired, I bought “Alter Of Mortis” on my iPod, so I could rewatch it whenever I wanted.  I seriously can quote the entire episode, and I love it.  That episode is my favorite one of the entire Star Wars: The Clone Wars Saga, I believe.

Ghosts of Mortis is a killer.  Seriously.  TCW cast really pushed it with this episode….and it bordered being incredibly non-cannon.  But then again, with the way this episode ended…did Mortis really even happen?  It’s really confusing and honestly it could have all been just a dream!  We don’t really know.

The scene where Anakin learns his fate from the Son utterly destroys my emotional psyche.  Seriously, between the music, incredible animation, and just the SCENE ITSELF, I am a fangirl blob on the floor…..distraught and crying for my characters. 

Anakin Skywalker is one of my favorite characters…and fangirl-wise, he’s a HOTTIE!  Even TCW Ani is cute….he’s very well animated. ;)

Ahsoka has been and probably always will be one of my favorite characters, she’s a GIRL and she kicks BUTT!

Obi-Wan is a flipping legend and he’s….well, he’s OBI-WAN!  I kinda feel bad for Obi in these episodes….he doesn’t do much except watch his former Padawan flip out turn to the dark side, cry and more, and watch his Padawan’s Padawan turn to the dark side and then die.  Seriously.  He’s pretty much an innocent bystander in all of this, not really doing much. 

Anakin’s learn-all moment in Ghosts of Mortis kills me.  It’s awful!  I hate to see him break down like that, and then FALL FOR IT DARN IT!  I am soooo writing a fanfiction story where Anakin realizes what he could become, and then FIXES IT INSTEAD OF GOING DARK SIDE PREMATURELY!!!! GOSH DARNIT WHY TCW? WHY?

Okay, excuse my mini-rant there…..

Let’s focus on Ahsoka for a minute.  Ahsoka gets put under some messy Dark Side spell, and dies.  SHE DIES!  And then magically comes back to life!  “Alter of Mortis” is my favorite episode for these reasons:

A.    The action!  It’s incredible!  Anakin VS Ahsoka?!?!!  YES!!!

B.    The DRAMA! OH MY GOSH THE DRAMA!  Anakin cries, Ahsoka dies, and Obi-Wan stands out of the way! (put that in the tune of Jingle Bells and we’ve got a new classic folks!)

C.    The music!  Oh wow….just listen to the song that plays when Anakin and Ahsoka are dueling it out….it’s EPIC!!!!  I am dying to have a TCW TV Show soundtrack.

Now for Anakin.  These episodes are very focused on Anakin.  He GOES TO THE FREAKING DARK SIDE!!!!  Poor Ani….

Anakin’s emotion is incredible in these episodes.  He cries many times (something that I apparently like in my fictional men…?) and he goes through personal tragedy with his mother, Ahsoka, and then his future.  It’s just amazing!

Another really cool thing about Mortis was the ‘cameos’ with the other characters….Shmi Skywalker made an appearance, Qui-Gon made two appearances, and Adult Ahsoka even came into the picture!!!!!  It was really cool guys, you have to admit that!  I loved seeing Adult Ahsoka best out of all those ‘cameos’.  She was beautiful and really haunting almost!!! (Which is kinda ironic, seeing the other two were…uh…ghosts.)

Other ‘appearances’ that were made in the Mortis trilogy happened in Ghosts of Mortis, when Anakin sees visions of what is to come.  He sees Emperor Palpatine, The Death Star, Alderaan exploding, a youngling, Padme being Force-Choked, and even Obi-Wan’s “You were my brother Anakin!”.  I seriously cannot watch that scene without sobbing.  I can’t even think about it without tearing up!!!!!  It’s just so incredibly intense! 

Anakin’s shocked “I will do such terrible things.” After seeing his fate is just torture for an overly-emotional fangirl like myself.  The scene between Anakin and Obi-Wan on Mustfar…..Oh you know, this one:

Obi-Wan: Don’t try it Anakin, I have the upper hand.

Anakin: *force leap*

Obi-Wan:  *slicey-slicey*

Anakin:  AHAHAHHHOAGHLAKHOAJLAAHAHA *strangled cries, rolls downhill into pit of fire*

Obi-Wan:  You were the Chosen One!!!!  You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them!!!  To bring balance to the Force, not leave it in Darkness!!!!!!  You were my brother Anakin…..I love you.

Anakin:  I HATE YOU.

Me:  *blubbering mess of tissues, messed up hair and tears*

That scene.  Well, the Clone Wars mini-version of it is NO BETTER.  And when the mist forms Darth Vader’s helmet behind Anakin, with the powerful Imperial March theme playing….*shudders* I get chills just thinking about it!!!!

I hope this clears up some stuff on the Mortis Trilogy for you all…and how I reacted to it.  Then again, you might just all think I’m weird.  O.O

Fangirl Blast: Ahsoka Tano!

As requested...this lovely Fangirl post will be about the amazing Ahsoka Tano!!!  

Now...Ahsoka is from the fantastic TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars....so if you don't read about or watch TCW you probably won't understand this post.  XDD  If you don't get it, or you don't like Ahsoka, tune in next week, when I'll be writing about an Original Trilogy character. :)

Character:  Ahsoka Tano

Fandom:  Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Facts:  Ahsoka is a Torgrutan Jedi.  She hails from the beautiful world of Shili and is a padawan under the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker.  Ahsoka was given the nickname "Snips" by her Master, because her snippy, easy-going attitude proved her deserving of such a name.  She has grown as a character and as a Jedi throughout the four seasons of TCW, and so far Ahsoka is a very popular character among both girls and boys.

What I like about her:  Ahsoka is AMAZING!  She's one of my favorite characters!  She has amazing character development, and as a teenage girl around Ahsoka's age...she's easy to relate to and fun! :) I love the style of her design...she's so PRETTY!  And I love how sarcastic/sassy she is...and her and Anakin's relationship.  ;)

What I don't like about her:  Hmm....I don't know!  XD  I love Ahsoka a lot.  I love how she really learns and grows throughout the show.  I can't think of any negative points about her. 

What I wish did/didn't happen:  I really really hope that Ahsoka doesn't die.  XD  or at least...if she DOES die, I hope it's doing something MEGA HEROIC!  :D 

Pairings/Shippings:  Okay...*cringes waiting for the hate comments*  Rex and Ahsoka.  HEAR ME OUT.  I think that if Ahsoka WERE to fall in love, Rex would be the logical choice....over....say....Lux Bonteri.  :P  Rex is sweet and caring (as many episodes have proved) and he has a real HEART. :)  Ahsoka and Rex both share many character traits, and I could see them as a couple.  Plus, I'm a sucker for Jedi/Clone romance after writing Reaching For The Stars.  ;)

Favorite Quote:  "This is where the fun begins!"  "Always in time to save your life Skyguy." "I Did! You know, when i told you about the giant wall, and you said "oh no snips we arent' going anywhere NEAR THAT!'"  "CHECK FOR A PULSE!!!" (hehe)

A Not So Normal Week:  You need to read these fanfics.  They are beyond hysterical, and they feature all our favorite TCW characters!!!!!!!  ;)  Including Ahsoka!!!  XDD

Secrets and Trust:  This one is GREAT.  My good friend Alyna wrote it.....and it's AWESOME!!!!!!!!! :D  I love it!!!!!!  Probablyone of the most AMAZING Ahsoka fics out there!!!!!!

After the Storm:  AHH AMAZING!  I'm working on reading the sequel....and one of my best friends, Inksaber, wrote this one!  I read it before I knew her and felt incredibly starstruck meeting her.  XDD  It is amazing!!!!!!!  :D  I love it!  ;)  EVERYONE read it!  :D

Masquerade:  OAHHHAHAHH ONE OF THE BEST REXOKA FANFICS EVER OUT THERE PERIOD END OF STORY OH MY GOSH ITS AMAZING.  :D  Everyone should read this one......it's just perfect.  :D  Rexoka though....so chill out!  XDD

Shadows of Shili:  One of my AMAZING BESTEST SISTAHS EVER, JediKnightGirl (or Tara) ;)  wrote this story!!!!!!  It's still in the works, and it is just AMAZING!  I love it to pieces, and can't wait for her to continue it!  :D

Are You Ready...

For a Fangirl Blast?!?  ;)

What's a Fangirl Blast you ask?  (hehe, rhymes....) Well, a Fangirl Blast is a Blogger "game" I suppose you could say.  ;)  Once a week I'll pick a character from a favorite movie of mine.  It might be a Disney movie, or a Star Wars movie, or a different movie all together.  I'll review the movie, and then I'll do a mini character-break-down!!!  I'll post what I love and what I hate about the character....what pairings I ship....details and other things that I love/like/hate.....and then tons of pictures! :)

Now...for this post...I'll start out with..........................Mara Jade-Skywalker.

Shocker.  XD  Seriously, I LOVE Mara!!!!!!!  So....we'll enjoy some Mara stuff now.  ;)

Character:  Mara Jade-Skywalker

Fandom: Star Wars Expanded Universe

Facts:  Mara Jade-Skywalker is one of the EU (Expanded Universe)'s main characters.  She becomes one of our heroes....Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Leia Organa by the end of the Thrawn Trilogy.  Mara has seen pretty much all walks of life.  Raised to do Emperor Palpatine's dirty work as the "Emperor's Hand", and then left on her own to make a name for herself, Mara Jade becomes an employee of Talon Kardde, and eventually gets into trouble with our original trilogy gang.  After ten years of friendship, (which is good, considering at first Mara simply wanted him dead) Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade got married.  (8DDD <333).  She joined the New Jedi Order officially, and became the Jedi Master of Jaina Solo later on.  Mara Jade-Skywalker had an unfortunate (ahem....stupid, needless...why was it written?!??) end to her life by a certain Darth Cadeus.  She still lives on in the memories of her family (AND ME).

What I like about her:  I like just about everything about Mara!!!!!  She's so EPIC!  She's kick-butt as a Jedi, Smuggler, and the Emperor's Hand.  Her character is really complex, and minus the "I wanna kill everyone" thing, she's a lot like me.  I love Mara....I have ever since I read the Thrawn trilogy.

 

What I don't like about her:  SHE DIES.  I hate that she dies.  XD  I also hate that it takes her and Luke ten flipping years to get their act together!  ;P

Something I wish did/didn't happen:  I wish that they (they meaning the profic authors) had included Mara in more stories....given her and Luke more time together, and eventually her and Ben (and Luke) more time together.  I kinda hate that they are ALWAYS fighting for their lives.  JUST GIVE THEM A BREAK, OKAY??? xD

Mara Jade-Skywalker's Deadbook Page:  Funniest thing EVER.  XD  Written as if Mara had a "Deadbook" (instead of Facebook) where she writes from the 'beyond'.  XDD

I, Mara Jade:  Probably one of my all-time favorite fics.  ;)  It's just.....AMAZING.  Seriously, I love this story to pieces.  I've read it a billion times.  Go check out this author's stories...they all feature Mara and are all AMAZING!  :D
