Captain America: A Movie Review

Okay....I've gotten into the Captain America craze......and I see why the rest of the internet/world has gotten into it!!!!!!
I LOVE this movie.  It's probably my second favorite movie of all time now....bumping Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom to third favorite! O.O

Captain America was a movie I had been really psyched to see thanks to my lovely friends on both Blogger and The Lakehouse Forum. (and the real world too) ;)  *cough Tara-Lareen-Jamie-Maryanna cough*

This movie more than exceeded my expectations.  I knew it would be cool....I mean, it's a Marvel movie!  ;D And I've heard the most incredible reviews....so I figured it would be great.
But this movie was amazing.  It brought me to tears (hysterical tears to be exact) and I have watched it 8 times since first seeing it on the day after Christmas, and I still have not gotten the least bit bored with it.  ;)
Here's a mini review, followed by my deeper thoughts.

Captain America:

Stars: 10/10

Liked: Um...EVERYTHING?  The plot, the characters, the villains, the story, the script, the flow, the music, the setting, the weapons, the sidekicks, Steve Rogers?

Disliked:  The death of a certain character.  The ending.  XD

Favorite Scene: After the procedure.  Bucky Rescue.  Ending.  Stark/Shield scene.  Steve and Peggy in car.  Steve and Peggy in bar.  Col. Phillips and Dr. Zola.  The Epic Montage.

Favorite Song:

Overall Thoughts:  There is so much I want to say about this movie!!!!!!! XD  It was practically perfect in every way!  It had amazing action, wonderful characters, interesting (and heartbreaking) plot lines, amazing soundtrack, perfect dialogue, and just.......AHHH SO PERFECT!!!!!!
I love the character of Steve Rogers.  He is humble, he is valiant, he is brave, and he has a heart.  In Steve's own words, he's just a kid from Brooklyn.  He's no one special, he was not born a hero, he proved himself to be one.
I love Steve.  So much.  XD  He's just so perfect!

And he draws!  *swoons*

Bucky Barnes, Steve's best friend, is also incredible.  He goes from being Steve's protector and sticking up for him, to being his partner in his own battalion, the Howling Commandos.  Bucky is really sweet, funny and loveable. <3  I wish I saw a LOT more of him in the movie!!!!!!!  ;)

Peggy Carter....ahh.  Peggy is the best female lead character role I have seen in a movie since Star Wars: A New Hope with Princess Leia.  ;)  She's strong, she's tough, she's EPIC!  And she's got a British accent, what more could anyone want?  She and Steve are PERFECT for each other.  ;)

Red Skull.  This is the baddest bad guy I have seen in a while!  He's got a freaky back story, and such a controlling and scary character, it's intriguing!  :D  

The other characters were also amazing, such as Col. Phillips, Dr. Zola (lol) and a bunch of others!!!  The Howling Commandos are AMAZING.  I love them.  XD

I recommend this movie to EVERYONE.  There is only a slight warning for language....but other than that, it's an INCREDIBLE movie.  The ending made me cry, both with joy and with terrible sorrow.  XD  I love this movie more than i can say....and I am waiting for my Steve Rogers to come and sweep me off my feet!  ;) 

Is it really the Last Week of October?

Seriously?  Part of me is eager for November, and the other part of me is dreading it.  XDDD

Huh.  Well, I'm gonna give you all a quick update before I get to the 'point' of this post.

First thing:  I will be disappearing for the month of November.  It is fact (~Tenel Ka).  But do not fret!!!  I have a few good ideas that will get through the month and still have a few posts out there.  ;)

Second thing:  I am happy.  We are playing Christmas (and Hanukkah) music in orchestra.  I had a bizarre smile on my face during "The First Noel".  XDDDDD  All I could think about was the holiday season.  ;)

Third thing:  I went treasure hunting on Saturday, and got 64 action figures and action hero toys for only $15!!!  :)

There are two layers of action figures, so there are more than there appear to be. ;)

Also.....CORRAN HORN.  I have just discovered the AMAZING that is Corran.  ;)  And MIRAX!  OH MY WORD, MIRAX TERRIK HORN IS SO COOL!!!!!!  I love her!!!!  Maybe not as much as I love Mara....but she's coming to be a close second!  :D

Who doesn't love X-Wings????  They're iconic and just AWESOME!!!!  :)  I am soooo addicted to this series.  I read the first X-Wing: Rogue Squadron book on Audio Book, and am now starting the second in paperback.  ;)  I'm also reading I, Jedi (which stars Corran Horn and Mirax Terrik-Horn) and it is FANTASTIC.  :)

Happy Birthday To Me!

My birthday is today....
So far I've gotten Birthday Greetings at least ten times from Cad Bane's Chick, and messages from Endor, Leia, ALLLLLL the Lakehouse sisters, presents from JediKnightGrl and Rex'sgirl, and my family and friends too.  ;)

(those were all sent to my by CBC)  ;)

First off, thank you all SO MUCH for the birthday 'presents' and messages.  ;)  I love you all!!!!!!

Now, I shall share with you all my party, which took place last night.  ;)

First off, my HAIR.  <33333  I got my hair done up all special.  XD  It was a birthday present.  ;)  We shall discuss the process.....
I got my hair cut and colored, with red-copper highlights!!!!  :D

My Daddy straightened my hair last night, so I could look 'hot' for Orchestra tonight.  XD

Well, that was part of my present.  ;)  On Saturday we began celebrating.  Chibi came over and we got my hair done.  But before that, we went shopping at the 'big' mall in town.  We went to Books-A-Million (I got the Dark Nest Trilogy Star Wars books....) and we went to Toys-R-Us, and also to Rainforest Cafe for lunch.  ;)  I got a free desert and sung to.  XD

At Toys-R-Us I got two action figures. ;)  Season 3 Ahsoka, and Hevy the clone trooper.  ;)

Now it's party time. ;)  Last night my grandparents, cousin (Chibi), mom and dad and sister (obviously) and great-grandpa came over for dinner!  :)

Yay for Black, White, Pink and Green!!!!!  XD  It was really fun, we LOVED doing the decorations, and only were injured a few times.  XD

Now, onto the presents (which I really want to share, so don't think I'm bragging please!  ;) )

Chibi made me this lovely keepsake box....and the sides are decorated beautifully, but for personal reasons I can't post pics of it.  D:  But the top is gorgeous too, huh?  

New book!!!  Grandma gave me the book Emma by Jane Austen for my birthday!!!  SO EXCITED to read this one!!!!!  :D  

 These we just got today.  ;)  My mom got Traitor for herself, and I got the third book in the Dark Nest Trilogy.  ;)  (if you remember, I got one and two on Saturday).  :D

One more present and this post will be /almost/ complete.......
Mara Jade.  my sister got me a Mara Jade Barbie doll for my birthday.  ;)  But she accidentally slipped and told me two days before my party and spent hours crying because she ruined the surprise.  :P  So I got it early!!!!  :D

What?  WHAT???  So I can't be excited over my Mara Jade Barbie and take a thousand and one pictures of her outside and inside and in different outfits????  Fine.  *pouts*  many of these will reappear on DeviantART btw.  ;)

Now I am getting ready to go to Orchestra and have a fun birthday dinner with my Daddy.  ;)
