Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Dear Daddy…
I love you so much!!!  You mean everything to me, you’re such an incredible person and I am lucky to call you my father. ;)  Happy birthday to the most amazing man I know!

Things I love about you:
Everything!!

Specifics:
Your advice.  You help me reason with my sometimes hormonal teenage emotions.

Your understanding.  You really care about how I feel, and help me to feel better.

Your sense of style.  Most men/boys/guys don’t like to shop, but you know my style and what I like better than anybody!! ;)

Your sense of humor.  Albeit slightly inappropriate, you’re hilarious, and our Friday nights are NEVER dull. :D

Your skills in the kitchen.  I don’t trust Mommy in there.  I’m glad you are such a fantastic cook/baker, because we’d starve without you. ;) (just kidding mom, I know cooking isn’t your thing. ;D)

Being shopping buddies with you.  I love to go to the store with you.  You are easily my best friend (not counting people my age…lol).  I love to spend time with you, just having some quality daddy-daughter time.

Talking the talk we never talk.  Every Monday, you and me, orchestra time.  I treasure those times when we get to go out to dinner and sometimes shop and just talk.  I tell you all kinds of things, and you listen and care about them!!

The Three S’s. Slurpees, Sushi, and Stupidity.  After dance class, this is the sure-fire way to make me feel better.  Buy me sushi, a slurpee, and help me get over their stupidity. ;)  The Three S’s.  Get it?

Your stories.  Even though your childhood makes me want to cry……/depressing/…….I love to hear your stories, especially the more hilarious ones. ;D

You and Mommy.  You both make me laugh…Han and Leia…and I love everything about you too.  Daddy, you and mommy are amazing together, you make a great team. ;)  BTW, Bob at Riverside still scares me, but I’m glad you two connected with him.  XD

Trips and Outings with you.  Disney, the Keys, Sanibel, Sarasota, wherever we go, the fun follows.  Thank you for driving all those hours and always making the trips awesome.  I can’t wait for one this weekend!!!!

In conclusion, Daddy, you rock my world.  J  I love you, and don’t know what I’d do without you.  Thank you for EVERYTHING.  You’re appreciated, you’re loved, and it’s your birthday, so enjoy some cake.  <3

Happy 45th Daddy,
Love,
Your Pumpkin Seed. <3

From the Eyes of a Writer

As a growing writer, I tend to see things differently than the average person.  I don't always notice that I do, but yet, it happens.
I find myself thinking of a story for something as small as a little flower growing as a weed in a flower garden, to a random person in the mall eating a cheeseburger.  It's a little weird, and quite funny.
I have bizarre hobbies too, like people-watching (AKA stalking, lol), and character discussing.  It's fun!

I can't watch movies the same way anymore.  I look at the deeper plot more than the special effects and acting.  I look into the background of the movie and the depth of the different characters. I can think of new plots and storylines and feelings of the characters.

I love it.  It makes for a good writer, to be able to come up with things on a whim like that.  I am constantly getting ideas in my head. I am constantly needing to write stuff down. Just ask my mom, many times a day I'll stop what I'm doing and run into my room to write down a story idea.  Many of them aren't developed (at all) and some of them are just fanfic ideas, but I still write them down, just for the sake of getting the idea out of my head.

I dont' think there's ever been a time where I HAVEN'T been writing a story in my head. Seriously!  I remember even when I was a little kid (my earliest "story" memory is probably from when I was six...) I'd walk around the perimeter of the playground at my school (this was before I was homeschooled, obviously) and just think of story ideas in my head. Back then, I called it my "Imaginary Friends". Now, I call them my "Characters".  ;)  See the difference?  I believe that all good writers once had imaginary friends.  I know I still do.  Their names are Luke Skywalker...Princess Leia....Han Solo.....Mara Jade......Corran Horn....etc.  ;)

AND STEVE ROGERS. (okay, i'm done now xD)

Seriously though....I was the queen of angst before it was cool.  I was always writing, coming up with, and thinking up very depressing or angsty romances, stories and ideas.  I was pretty pathetic actually.  (this may end up leading into a post about my social awkwardness that has risen to become a problem as of late...we'll see.)

In short, what I'd like for you to take away from this post is this: If you are a writer, and you see things differently too, that's okay.  Embrace it.  It just might be your future.  Everything happens for a reason, and ultimately, God doesn't make any junk. ;)

Write on....

Letters To Super Heroes

A friend of mine from Tumblr did a post on this on her Blogger blog.  :)  Read that post HERE.  She is not a fan of super heroes....but as a newborn fan, I'd like to give this letter thing a try!  ;)  Helping me with this post is my amazing cousin Chibi*Chick, AKA Ember Sparkstone.

It will have pictures. xD

Dear Captain America:
You are my favorite. I love you so much. Please be just as amazing as you are in your movie in the Avengers. Will you marry me? I don't care if you're from the '40s.  You are amazing.  And I love you.  You are a good man, and that is why I love you so much.
Love and love and love,
Fallon <3

Dear Batman:
Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
Ms. Joker (Chibi)

Dear Spiderman:
You're really cool.  You're my favorite super hero.  You ROCK.
Ember Sparkstone. <3

Dear Thor:
I'm glad you weren't so egocentric in the whole movie or I would be very turned off.  I love your eyes.
Signed, A New Fan

Dear Heimdall:
You made Thor as epic as it was.  Without you the movie would just be Loki (which is still really cool), but we would be very sad. XD
Love from, your two biggest fans (Fallon and Chibi) <3

Dear Iron Man:
I'm terrified to watch your sequel.  I like you a lot in the first movie, and I hope you're not as huge of a jerk as Tar-Tar says....
Signed, A Very Nervous and New Fan

Dear Hawkeye:
I like you because one of my best friends ever loves you.
And that's enough for me.
Plus, you were epic in Thor.
Signed,
Mrs. Rogers

That is all friends.  More posts coming soon. I promise.

Signed,
Your faithful blogger,
