Rest and Relaxation....

Guess where I am?  ;D

I'm on vacation.  My family takes a trip to the family vacay-house every year (sometimes more than once a year,) and we decided to spend the week here for Spring Break. :)

Consider this an inspirational post perhaps.......

I realized today that I am a very stressed person.  I usually am constantly busy, whether it be for school, stuff on the internet, more school, or helping out people with their problems, I am often really busy.  On top of that I have chores and duties to attend to as a daughter and sister, and that's important too.

Yesterday I went to the eye doctor and was totally blind from being dilated.  I realized how much I take my vision for granted.  I ended up finding out that I DO need glasses, but I'm not too worried about that.  Once I was dilated, I literally could not see ANYTHING.  I couldn't read my text messages, I couldn't read my tweets, my computer screen, NOTHING.  I had to rely on my cousin Embie to read everything to me, because I was literally blind.  (she did hack my phone and ipod, but still....xD)

Later last night my eyes were already much better, and today they were cured.  I feel SO accomplished and relaxed and happy!!  I read an entire book, (FREAKED OUT OVER THE BOOK) and wrote a bunch.  I cleaned our room (Embie's and mine's) and we played tons of games outside.  We went out for dinner, and then came home and slept.  I read more of my book, took a nice nap, and was totally carefree.  Soon it was sunset-time and we went outside to witness God's beautiful world by the ocean.

Ember, Glory and I went outside and had a badmitton tournament, Glo was our announcer, Embie and I the players, and Canada Dry Ginger Ale our "sponsor".  It was hilarious, and we even brought our radio outside so we could listen to music while playing the game.  We had instant replays, halftime dance shows, and commercial breaks.  It was awesome.  We finished our game with an epic Michael Buble dance show from me and Embie, where we tangoed to our hearts contents. XD

Now.....I'm looking forward to more fun.  Take away this my friends, no matter how stressed you are, and how busy you are, every once in a while, take a step back and praise God for the goodness and beautiful things in your life.  I've been doing that all day, thanking Him for my family, my eyesight, my book, my iPod, the weather, the sun, everything!!

It's fun to relax, and to step back and realize all the goodness in your life.  ;)

II'll be relaxing for the next two days guys....see ya on the flip side. ;)

Driving to Sarasota

I am on my way to Sarasota, Florida, for a book-signing, where I will meet the Amazing Timothy Zahn.

*sigh*  Five minutes into this 3 ½ hour drive, and I am already losing my mind.  XD  my sister keeps messing around with her pillow, unable to get comfortable, and keeps bumping me with her toys and pillow.  >.> 

My parents are blasting their country radio station, which I usually don’t mind, except that they are seriously talking about ways that they can embarrass me.  In public.  *rolls eyes*  Thanks mom and dad, looking forward to 3 ¼ more hours of this.  ;) 

In all seriousness, I am very excited to meet my favorite author, and even take a little vacation, seeing we’re leaving a day earlier than expected.  :D 

Now, I am typing this up on my laptop, and will give updates as crazy things happen.   Aeahljfpewf  …..sorry, that was my sister’s FOOT on my LAPTOP.  Nutmeg, STAY ON YOUR SIDE!!!  Gah.

Okay y’all.  I’m going to turn up my iPod, dive into a fanfic, and try and block out the world for a few minutes.  XD  Correction, I’ll listen to the radio while Nutmeg takes my (NEW IPOD!!!  I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT!  xD) and plays Nyan Cat for a while.  ;)

  These updates are more frequent than I thought.  I must be really bored.  XDD  We’re taking the scenic route to see the Everglades.  In other words, we’re on the highway, following the seemingly never-ending road that happens to be out in the middle of nowhere.  I’m taking pictures on my iPod to show y’all.  :-) 
So far I’ve seen a few animals!  A bird….another bird…..another bird….a dead possum….and a few more birds!  Shocking isn’t it?  Okay, I’ll write more later…..I need to focus on writing some more.  :P  We’re on the lookout for Alligators now though, since we are on Alligator Alley.  XD

OH NO.  Remind Me, by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood is on.  OH NO OH NO.  XD  The song is fine, except my parents happen to LOOOOOVE this song.  The whole “They know they’re Han and Leia” thing comes from this darn song.  *rolls eyes*  And they hold hands, gaze lovingly into each other’s eyes….and I wanna puke…..how can I handle romance in any way shape or form EXCEPT when it’s my parents??  XDDD  Seriously though, they are cute, and I’m happy for them.  ;)  I’ll be here half looking for alligators, half writing the sequel to Reaching for the Stars.

Fruit Ninja, Nyan Cat, Cut The Rope….the music in these games are incredibly annoying.  Nutmeg has been playing them nonstop on my iPod.  While she kicks me with her feet, STILL trying to get comfortable, and her cluncky LaLaLoopsy dolls keep whacking into me.  Oh goodness.  :P

Now I’m listening to Online by Brad Paisley, and I love this song.  XDD  It’s hilarious.  I’ll post a video.  ;)  Warning:  Some mild language.  Over all, it’s hysterical and awesome.  ;)

Now I know why I’m hot!!!  The air is not working in our car.  It’s only 86 out today though, so it’s not THAT bad.  My mom just yelled at my dad.  Here’s the conversation that happened:

Mom:  I am hot.

Dad:  Yes you are.

Mom:  *hits Dad*  NO.  I am hot as in, turn down the air!

Dad:  Fine.  *hits button* 

Mom:  It’s not working….

Dad:  Hmm.  *hits more buttons*

Mom:  It’s not working!!!!

Dad:  The hyperdrive isn’t working right now, okay?

Mom:  No!  It’s not okay!  I thought you and Chewie FIXED the Hyperdrive!

Dad:  We did!!!  Last week…

Mom:  Ugh.

Dad:  *rolls eyes, goes back to driving*

Mom:  *mutters something about dump-buckets of ships*

Me:  *starts typing like crazy* 

Nutmeg:  I AM HUNGRY!!!!  I AM HUNGRY!!!!!  NUUU!!!  Nyan Cat DIED!  DDD:

Me:  *headdesk*  Er…*headlaptop*  :P

And that brings you back to the present.  Okay, so it didn’t go EXACTLY like that, but it’s close enough.  XDD  Hopefully we’ll be in Naples soon, because we are all hungry and hot.  *sighs*  Fun fun fun!  ;)

Next stop:  Cracker Barrel!!!  I’ll take pictures.  XD  Because you all /really/ care about this.  xD  Oh well.  Now the air is /kinda/ working, (ha, not really) and Nutmeg hasn’t stopped complaining that she’s hungry.  We’re already decided that we’re going to Cracker Barrel, even though my dad is trying to convince my mom to go to “Hooters”.  >.>  We’re mad at him right now…..he’s confusing poor Nutmeg telling her that they sell Owl Merchandise there.  XDD Okay, hopefully this “Only ten more minutes” will hurry up and get here so we can eat.  Then something more interesting might happen….LOL!!

We’re driving next to a car full of boxes.  Cool huh?  No..I didn’t think so either.  *sigh*  That’s the most interesting thing all day.  XDD  We’re back in the middle of nowhere, and I’m starting to think that the Cracker Barrel that was only ten minutes away is now bordering on twenty to thirty minutes away.  :P

Simple Disney Things

I spent HOURS one night on this epic Tumblr.....Simple Disney Things.  It is so PERFECT.  ;)

I am going to share my favorite pictures and what they mean to me.  :)

More than anything, folks.  More than anything I'd rather be in WDW.  ;)

I can seriously hear the 'announcer voice' in my head saying "And to your new passengers, Aloha and welcome aboard!!!"   *sniffs*  I love that.  Even though the Polynesian ate my iPod, I still have amazing memories there.  ;)

This one rings so true.  When you're in Disney, when that bus approaches, you jump up and down in excitement and can't wait to board the bus.  ;)

"FIVEEEEEE.....FOUURRRRRRR.....THREEEEEEEE.......TWOOOOO.......ONNNNEEEEEE........ONE IN A HALFFFFF....ZERO!!!!!!  DISNEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  This is a common sound in our car whenever we arrive /finally/ in Disney.  ;)  Then all the girls scream really loud.  ;)

All my Disney classics are on VHS.  I own all the ones in this picture (either I do or Chibi does) so we can only watch them on that.  ;)

We had this last time.  Monorails are incredible.  ;)  Seriously, I love it when we get a monorail car to ourselves, we get to be silly, giggling and cracking jokes the entire time. :D

This is SO TRUE. ;)  The excitement is incredible when you finally get your fastpasses!!!!  :D

I usually don't like fish, but when we get this as a family in Epcot, and then sit over the waters of the Seven Seas Lagoon, it's different.  ;)  In Disney, everything tastes better.  :D

GOODNESS YES!!!!!!  Chibi, Nutmeg and I have all experienced this.  ;)  Vinylmations are the coolest collectible thing out there.  ;)

This is just a sweet little touch that makes your trip all the more 'real'.  ;)  Chibi, Nutmeg and I used to fight over who gets to keep the towels.  Then we were informed (by our parents) that the towels were for us to USE, not play with.  ;)

I think after seeing this picture, I started to cry.  Seriously, Worms-In-Dirt brings back so many memories.  xD  Last weekend I got Worms-In-Dirt for my birthday and we all started giggling and getting excited, just because it made us think of Disney.  ;)

Dole Pineapple Whips are the best possible thing you will ever put into your mouth.  EVER.  Period.  End of story.  My mom used to go to Adventureland JUST FOR THE PINEAPPLE WHIPS!!!!!!  ;)  Now whenever we go to Magic Kingdom, we go get a Pineapple Whip.  ALWAYS.  ;)  That picture is my laptop's wallpaper.  XD

*sighs*  Refillable Mugs how I love you.  ;)  Also memories.  ;)  Trashcan is what Chibi and I call our mish-mash of all the different soda's available in our refill mugs.  ;)  Now when we go to WDW, we just get Trashcan.  ;)

Hehe, we are all guilty of this one.  ;)  Chibi and I used to literally /race/ down the halls when we were little.  ;)

None of us kids can, but my grandparents actually LIKE Beverly.  XD  I just stay away from that one.....LOL!!

I do this.  Nutmeg does this....Chibi and I do this too.  ;)  On our last trip, Chibi and I were up texting all night because we were too excited to sleep.  ;)

I love doing this!!!!!  :D  It's really fun, especially when they wave back.  And when the people in the restaurant next door wave, or a cast member there has a sign that says something funny like, "Do the chicken dance" on one side, but "Have a  magical day" on the other.  ;)

I can sing the whole opening to this show.  ;)  I love it!!!!!  Dissssnneeeeeyyyy Sing A Long..sooonnnngggsss!!!!!!!!  :D

Now that I know more about Gertie the Dinosaur, I want to go back and get ice cream from here again.  ;)  It's been a while, and the last time we were there, the line was REALLY long.  XD

Last trip to Disney, we rode Pirates of the Caribbean SEVEN TIMES in a row with no wait.  ;)  Each time we went under, I looked up at that leg and wondered how much dust that collects.  XDD

Never.  Never ever.  I will always be a Disney girl!!!!!!  :D  I cannot wait until I'm old enough to have my own family to take to Disney World.  ;)

We always go here, even if we've done all the things in there before.  ;)  My mom once worked at Innoventions!  :D  

I started to cry looking at this picture, especially when I saw the PB&J Otter one.  XD  Chibi and I watched all these shows when the episodes were new, and I am not kidding, PB&J Otter was a great show, and we both loved it.  ;)

BA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!  Guilty. ;)  Chibi and I got to walk around Hollywood Studios (by ourselves, eeep!) and we walked down Sunset Boulevard like celebrities.  XD  It was so fun.  ;)

:D  I now love the Lego Store in Downtown Disney, so this little *cough huge cough*  landmark is even more awesome.  :D

We love this!!!!!  The TTA!!!!  Tomorrowland Transit Authority!  :D  It's fun, you get to sit, and we always get squished into one car.  XD  But sometimes we'll ride it without getting off, and we'll do the same thing with the Walt Disney Railroad trains.  ;)

OH MY GOSH.  These books are just EPIC!!!!!!  :D  I am in love with them!!!!!!  I cannot wait for the Fifth book to come out, because I LOOOOVE these books!!!!!!!  :D  They are perfect for any Disney fan!!!!  :)

I think I will always call Hollywood Studios MGM.  ;)  

HAHAA!!!!!  I love love love that!!!!!!!!!  We always quote the monorail for fun. XD  

*sniffs deeply*  Ahhh....new plastic.....new Disney plastic......PVCs....Plastic Very Cutes......;)

WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT???  That's So Raven and Phil of the Future were some of my FAVORITE shows.  ;)

*Sigh*  We do this too.  ;)  Chibi especially is known to fall asleep on the bus or monorail.  ;)

Okay, so this one is personal.  ;)  I LOVE the At-At outside of Star Tours.  ;)  It makes me feel so.....Star Wars-y.  XD

SO CUTE.  I saw them interact with each other last trip to Magic Kingdom, and I was squealing like a fangirl.  XD  They are just ADORABLE together!!!!!!  :D

Okay, I see that picture and I automatically know the smell.  ;)  I just.....I don't know, I can just smell it in my head.  XD

*sigh*  Each time we go to the hotel, they say "Welcome Home!", and it's so true.  My home is in Walt DIsney World.  ;)  Someday I want to work there, just so I can visit the property all the time!!!!  XD  I know everyone says it's less fun working there than visiting, but I think of it as.....making the magic happen.  ;)

My trip was AWESOME.  I had so much fun.  The only bad thing that happened was that it was INCREDIBLY sweaty and hot, and my precious iPod Touch was LOST.  *sobs hysterically*

We took an animation class in Hollywood Studios, and we learned all kinds of things!  This was part of the class.....we learned to draw Goofy!  I'll take a better (finished) picture of it and post it on DeviantART.  :)

We went to DisneyQuest while on our vacation......I discovered that I am VERY VERY bad at games like these.  This was the Star Wars Original Trilogy arcade game.  I was SO BAD.  xDDDDD  I tried five times, and each time, I lost.  :P  I killed Luke in a battle with Vader, I killed him again in a battle with Boba Fett, and I killed Leia in a speeder chase.  I got squished by an AT-AT in the Battle of Hoth and crashed my landspeeder.  :P  I was only semi-better at the Podracing game.  I played that 15+ times, because our hotel arcade had it as well.  ;)

My precious baby sister (*sobs*  She's not a baby anymore......my little padawan is all grown up!) faced Darth Vader in the Jedi Training Academy.  ;) She waited Five Hours as an Alternate to be put in.  xD  She finally did, and had a BLAST!  :)

We had an awesome time.  ;)  My mom and dad were HILARIOUS.  When we went to the pool one day, I was following them around because I like to write fanfics about the funny things my parents say to each other. They both were really sick of me following them around, so they acted crazy on purpose.  XDD  My mom acted like Princess Leia, and my dad Han Solo.  :)  It was so funny/awesome.  They chased each other around the pool, and my dad lifted my mom up and they kissed.....passionately. XDDDDDD  That got me to leave them alone.  XD  But I am writing an awesome fanfic about it!  ;P

Chibi was with us the whole time.  :)  We had a blast.  Chibi is my best friend since birth.  (BBSB)  We rode Star Tours together, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, and a TON of other rides!  We were partners/buddies the whole time.  ;)  We had such a fun time.  Chibi is in LOVE with Pirates.  :) Her YEAR was made when she got chosen to go up as part of "Captain Jack's Crew" in the Pirate show in Magic Kingdom.  She is in LOOOOVE with Captain Jack Sparrow.  ;)  Like how I am with Luke Skywalker, only worse.  xDDD
Captain Jack came over to her while 'Mac' the pirate helper guy was giving instructions.  He played with her braids (Chibi usually wears her hair in long braids) and called her beautiful.  XD  I cried I was laughing/so excited for her.  ;)  She was a fangirl....like I was after meeting Luke and Anakin during SWW.  ;)

When we were at our Hotel, a nice lady gave us signed posters of Jack Sparrow!  I got one, and so did Chibi.  We got them while hanging out downstairs by ourselves.  :3  She screamed.  XDDDDDD  I was so happy for her.  "you have a fandom!!!!"  xDD

Anyways, we had a wonderful trip, and it's nice to be home.  :)  I hope we can go to the Keys soon.....I am already ready to take another trip!  LOL!  But this time, I'd have internet.  ;)  UNLIMITED INTERNET!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!
